Set of six sterling silver and enamel coffee spoons made by Liberty & Company and hallmarked for Birmingham 1939. The maker mark is documented between 1899 and 1953. Liberty & Company is the home founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty which produced pieces in an unmistakable and original style during the first half of the XX century. Typical design from Archibald Knox. The condition is very good for both silver and box. |

Set di sei cucchiaini da caffè in argento a titolo 925/1000 e smalti, realizzati da Liberty & Company e marchiati a Birmingham nel 1939. Il marchio dell'argentiere è documentato tra il 1899 e il 1953. Tipico design introdotto da Archibald Knox.
Sono contenute nella costodia originale riportante il marchio di Liberty & Co.
Liberty & Company è la casa fondata da Arthur Lasenby Liberty che ha prodotto nel corso della prima metà del XX secolo pezzi in uno stile inconfondibile ed originale, in contrapposizione agli allora imperanti Aestethic Movement e all'Art Nouveau. E' curioso notare che in Italia il "Liberty" è invece sinonimo di Art Nouveau, stile di fatto diverso nei contenuti e nelle forme dall'Art Nouveau britannica, più orientata all'Arts & Crafts..
Lo stato di conservazione è molto buono, sia per quanto riguarda i cucchiaini che per la custodia.
