
Very
rare 10 pieces solid silver (800/1000 and 900/1000) coffee set, bearing Austro-Hungarian
Hallmarks for Vienna in use from 1886 to 1922. Maker FV.
It is composed by a coffee pot, a sugar bowl, a cream jug, 6 coffee cups and a salver,all pieces fully hallmarked.
All
pieces bears the Diana head mark, and is marked ‘3’ for 800/1000 purity (apart
the salver which has a silver finess of 900/1000). The city letter is ‘A’,

The salver Bears the same marks but for the finess 900/1000 (exagonal punch and number "2" inside. The maker of the salver is Joseph Karl (Carl) Klinkosch, born in Vienna, in 1822. Hi retired in 1884 and the firm was managed by his sons Arthur (1884-1899) and Isidore (1884-1914). It has a very fine flat chased floral decoration.
All
pieces in overall very good condition.
The lower spacer on the handle of the pot is chipped. Otherwise a very nice set.
